This Data Retention Policy explains how long PingMyCar keeps different types of information.
PingMyCar follows a data minimisation approach. We aim to keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain security, meet legal requirements, and support user requests.
The table below explains how long different categories of data are normally retained.

| Account information | Until account deletion or as required by law | Required to manage the user account and provide services. |
| Payment and subscription records | As required by payment providers, tax, accounting, and legal obligations | Required for billing, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. |
| Push notification device tokens | Until replaced, disabled, account deletion, or no longer required | Required to send app alert notifications where enabled. |

Where technically possible, PingMyCar may automatically delete or remove certain short-term records after the applicable retention period.
Users may request deletion of their PingMyCar account and associated personal data at any time.
Some information may need to be retained where required by law, for example for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Deleted data may remain in secure backups for a limited period before being permanently removed in accordance with our backup and security procedures.
Backup data is not used for normal business activity and is only accessed where necessary for security, recovery, or legal reasons.
We may retain certain data for longer if required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, or protect the safety and security of users and the platform.
We may update this Data Retention Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
